1. Marinate
Marinades are not just a great way to add flavour to your meat they also protect the meat from high grilling temperatures. Why not mix together garlic, parsley, fennel seeds, lemon and olive oil for a delicious Pork chop marinade.
2. Gas or Charcoal
Gas BBQ’s are great for ease as the temperature can be controlled very easily, however, if you are looking for a smoky BBQ taste a Charcoal barbie is your best bet.

4. Check The Heat
Before you start cooking check the heat. The best way to do this is to carefully hold your hand roughly 12cm above the grill and see how long you can hold it for: 6 seconds = low heat, 4 seconds = medium heat, 2 seconds = High heat.
5. Start it Hot
Ensure your barbecue is hot enough before you start cooking and turn your meat during cooking so that it cooks evenly throughout.
